11:55 a.m. — Caller on North Street reports her upstairs neighbor yelled something at her and put up his two middle fingers while getting out of his car. Caller would like the incident on record.

10:13 p.m. — Caller on Millers Falls Road reports there is a dog barking and howling somewhere near her house, has been ongoing for about five hours. Caller later called back, stated her neighbors across the street returned home and the dog stopped barking.

5:15 p.m. — Caller on Fourth Street reports the neighbors are arguing and threatening each other. Quiet upon officer’s arrival, no answer at the door.

7:53 p.m. — Caller reports she was parked at Barton Cove and went for a hike. When she came back, it looked like her car had been gone through and her phone was missing. The phone number to Gill Police was provided.

12:08 a.m. — Caller on Turners Falls Road states there is a car in front of his house that might have struck something. Driver walking around the car looking at damage. Eversource pole was sideswiped. Structurally sound but should be examined.

10:40 a.m. — Caller on Montague Street reports she was in an accident with another vehicle, possible injuries. Airbag deployment. Traffic diverted onto High Street, no traffic up L Street either. Driver of Toyota Corolla taken to hospital by AMR. Driver of RAV4 taken to hospital by Turners Falls Fire. Vehicles towed.

4:51 p.m. — Caller states she found a puppy running on Turners Falls Road, attempted to knock on some doors to find an owner but had no luck. Caller states she has the dog at her house. Described as a black and brown puppy with white on the nose, toes and tail. No tags. Received a call from a woman who lost her dog, with matching description. Officer returned the puppy.

3:21 p.m. — Caller on Avenue A states his check is missing. Caller believes another man in his apartment took it. Caller later called back to say he found his check.

6:36 p.m. — Caller on Canal Street states there are two cars front bumper to front bumper on the road. One vehicle is pushing the other. Caller is concerned it might cause an accident. Caller states both cars are now in the parking lot. Vehicle broke down, nothing needed from police.

7:34 a.m. — Caller on Crocker Avenue reports there is a bear in her yard and she is locked out of her house. Bear left. Resident back inside her house. Officers found the bear at 21 Marshall St.

11:26 a.m. — Caller on Central Street reports a man put a bag in the bushes and took another bag from the same spot. Man storing some property under the bushes. Residents do not want him there. They will call if he returns.

11:53 a.m. — Caller on Federal Street believes her neighbor fired a shotgun in his backyard. She heard the shot and a juvenile neighbor told her he saw the man shoot a gun into the air. Resident from 10 Federal St. called to report he was working on a derby car and it backfired. Neighbors also reporting fireworks.

3:33 p.m. — Caller at Connecticut River Liquors on Avenue A reports a woman stole the charity jar for Dakin Humane Society off the counter. Officers attempt to make contact with the involved party at an Avenue A apartment building. Item located in the dumpster behind 29 Avenue A. Container is empty.

2:36 a.m. — Cashier at the F.L. Roberts gas station on Third Street reports a 16-year-old girl has been there for roughly an hour, believes she is being followed by an unknown individual. Given courtesy transport to Greenfield.

1:42 p.m. — Caller at The Country Creemee on Avenue A reports a man in a wheelchair is outside begging people for money and lying about being a retired veteran. Was advised to stop.

3:51 p.m. — Caller reports there is a man with a boa constrictor at Unity Park letting it play in the water. Officer checked the area, nothing found.

11:43 p.m. — Caller on Unity Street states he is sitting on the tailgate of a silver truck waiting for officers to speak with him following physical and verbal abuse by an involved woman. Woman said she knocked over a lamp, man thought he would be blamed for it, due to past issues. No further issues at this time.

10:12 a.m. — Caller near 435 Millers Falls Road reports he struck a deer. No longer on scene. No damage to caller’s vehicle. Deer is deceased, disposed of.

1:51 p.m. — Caller on Masonic Avenue reports a 17-year-old foster child took off from her residence. Unknown where he is, what mode of transportation he may have taken. May be with his boyfriend in Springfield. Caller does not believe he is in danger.

5:03 p.m. — Caller on East Main Street reports five or six women are outside her residence harassing her and trying to start an altercation. Situation mediated, parties advised of their options.

8:31 p.m. — Caller on Edgewater Way reports a suspicious vehicle has been parked in the area since 2 p.m. Man knocking on doors soliciting for a pest control company. Officer later advised he passed that vehicle driving on Turnpike Road.

10:03 a.m. — Officer was approached by an individual downtown reporting having two bicycles stolen: a yellow and blue Huffy mountain bike and an older-style mountain bike. Last seen leaning against their back porch.

1:47 p.m. — Officer witnessed a vehicle bottom out on Canal Street where the potholes from construction are getting larger. DPW advises they’ve contacted the construction company about the road situation.

3:48 p.m. — Caller reports a dispute on Lake Pleasant Road. After the argument, a woman and others left in a purple Mazda, almost running him over. Vehicle was last seen traveling toward Turners Falls. Involved vehicle was stopped. Officer advises both parties have separated for the night, no further issues.

6:21 p.m. — Caller advises she witnessed a man punch another man at Food City on Avenue A. Caller broke up the altercation, advised staff and called 911. Caller states one man has since left the scene, does not believe the other man needs an ambulance but would be waiting for an officer at the store. Statement taken. Officer spoke to the manager who reviewed the film, however it does not show the battery occurring.
